1980 Mini Clubman Classic British Leyland For Sale

This is a great example of a classic Mini. The once ubiquitous Clubman is now extremely rare with most listed either as restoration projects or the top end 1275 GT commanding 5-figure sums. Mine sits somewhere in the middle! It has been a pleasure to own and great fun, and gets plenty of attention, especially with its period Russett Brown paintwork. New MOT, until 30th August 2020. However, with its registration date of June 1980 it actually becomes MOT exempt next year so it will not need a further MOT. Similarly, it is soon to be road tax exempt. 78000 miles. Very original condition. Exterior very smart with no rust; some marks to paint but no more than expected for a car of its age, and it does polish up well. Has had welding to front floor pans in the past which is sound but not of the highest quality. Rear floor and boot floor, etc, are original and in good condition. Subframe is very solid. Excellent tyres all round: the fronts are brand new, and the rears have done about 1000 miles. Tow bar fitted with full electrics! This is professionally installed and fully functional, however I haven't used it for towing during my ownership! Extensive work carried out in recent months, including the following replaced: - Battery - Starter motor - Fuel level sender - Fuel cap - Rear brake cylinders and shoes - Heater cable - Air filter - Door seals - Interior light bulb - Locks - boot and doors (all operate off one key) - Engine mounts - Clutch slave cylinder and hydraulic piping - Accelerator cable - Choke cable - Steering rack gaiters - Track rod ends - CV boots - inner and outer - Tyres Good, clean condition inside with original carpets, etc. Headlining has some marks but is complete with no rips. Drives extremely well; recently completed a 200 mile round trip to Bristol with no issues. Comes with 4x period BL wheel trims but not fitted as they need a few of the correct wheelnuts which I haven't got round to buying. Also comes with two sets of keys.
