1963 Scootacar SOLD

Scootacar Mk1
Engine rebuilt by Villiers.
Restored by previous owner over a 14 year period. He inherited the car from his uncle who had owned the car for a very long time. Maintains its original chassis, I waxoyled the chassis as I attended the National Microcar rally with it this year and I was planning to drive it come rain or shine which I did. With 3 passengers plus myself!

It has its original Villiers bottom end but the previous owners opted to have a 250cc piston and barrel fitted at the time of the rebuild. The car is supplied with an original 197cc engine should you wish to change it back to original. It certainly pulls well for what it is, tackling the steepest of hills with ease.
It has a fully functioning reverse with dual ignition and has the original switch gear.

The interior is fully reupholstered in matching red. It currently has a non standard wiper motor fitted. But is supplied with its original LEP motor. I might change this back if I have the time. It has had new side windows and rear screen.

The body work is good, the paint work is bright and shiny and very clean and tidy, it has a non standard bottom door hinge, I do believe that Stephen Boyd of the Scootacar register can source these.

The car drives and runs exactly how it should, but it is a 1960’s Microcar and and is quirky to say the least! It really is great fun though. I’m only selling to fund another Microcar.
I can send a walk around video and videos of the car running and driving to interested party’s.

I can deliver the car internationally at cost.
Funds will need to be cleared before any delivery.
I highly recommend and welcome viewing the car.
