This is a very rare opportunity to purchase a genuine Hillman Hunter estate. Not many of these exist at all, so if you want one now is your chance. Hillman hunters in general are fairly rare, but the estates are almost impossible to find.
This car is very original and low mileage. It has several owners on paper but it only really had one “proper” owner as far as I can tell, the rest were just people whos hands it passed thru.
Its been standing in a garage for a long time as the owner stopped driving. Only re-discovered recently.
It runs and driver and iv driven it around locally, everything seems to work as it should. It had an engine service so its not running on 20 year old oil!
As with any car thats been standing a long time, obviously some work may be required, but as it stands it does start drive and stop surprisingly well. Its insured and taxed and i drive it around occasionally on local journeys. Of course its too old to need a MOT.
From what i can tell its in remarkably good condition rust-wise. It has a little bit of rust on the front wings in the usual place, and a few localized spots, but thats really it! Places like door bottoms, floor/chassis, and all the other usual places are very clean. As you know Hillmans of this age rust very badly and most are on their 2nd or 3rd full restoration by now, the fact that this car is all original and has so few defects is amazing!
The interior is in good condition generally and even the dash (which is famous for being prone to cracking) has NO CRACKS!
Lots of paperwork, original keys (plus modern copies), even a Keyring from the Chrysler dealership where it was bought!
Collection in person only please. Payment in physical cash money please. Will not sell to people in other countries thru western union etc. sold strictly ad a restoration project / barn find in unknown as-is condition for repairs.
Thanks for looking.
