This R-type has the standard Bentley bodywork with more unassuming and graceful lines than the expensive coachwork models. The internal design is simply luxurious and the refurbished woodwork superb. It has a the smooth 6 in-line 4.5 litre engine coupled to a manual gearbox and is a delight to drive as expected from a Bentley with less than 50k miles on the clock.
It was refurbished over a few years by Bentley specialists some 15 years ago and has been hardly driven since. It comes with the original handbook, tools and lots of receipts and MoTs. A copy of the original build sheet is included confirming matching numbers and its original Registration and supply to Jack Barclay in April 1953. This is an outstanding classic Bentley with an impeccable provenance. There is a photo in the file of Sir Stirling Moss with it in 2011. We first sold it a few years ago and it has recently had the brakes renewed and a full check and service. It has seat belts at the back as well as the front. It is ready to use and enjoy over the remaining Summer.
