THE CAR WILL COME WITH A SPARE GEARBOX AND TWO CYLINDER HEADS AS WELL AS SPARE ANCILLARIES, BELTS AND LOADS OF LITTLE ENGINE BITS IN LABELLED BOXES. This was all to go with an old 900 that I was planning to Turbo before I bought this one and I kept the parts as spares.
Enthusiast owned, only selling as I've just bought a house and want something more economical. Would love to see this prime example of a 900 turbo go to an enthusiast or collector as a weekend car or toy.
Mileage: 180,000 - going up as it's a daily.
History: Only since I bought the car just over a year ago. Although I've been doing some detective work and I know it's actually a white 1993 Aero that has been rebuilt and repainted. It's had new shocks and springs seemingly fairly recently as well as a 9000 big brake swap.
Personally I have:
Replaced the front discs and pads
Put in braided front brake lines
Fitted a cone intake
Replaced the boost recirc valve
Replaced the front left wheel bearing
Fitted a new clutch and slave cylinder about 3000 miles ago.
Fitted a 2.5 Jetex exhaust and stainless shotguns plus sports cat (K reg and got through the MOT no problem on emissions)
New Spark plugs
Fitted brand new driveshafts and ABS rings
Reupholstered the interior door cards and made some snazzy cushions to be show ready.
Replaced the passenger side window motor (I have the drivers side too but haven't needed it yet as I actually bought the window motors for another 900 I had)
It's a cool car, turns a lot of heads and always starts well and runs great. Boosts well and has been dead reliable.
Has some uprated components from later Saabs including a full leather interior and the common swap to 9000 front calipers making the brakes much more consistent in performance situations.
Red box APC making 185hp.
Driveshaft tunnels and common rust spots are all 90% clear. Not spotless as it's a 26 year old car, but still very good.
Paint isn't the best. Looks good from about 6ft away but polishes up well.
Passenger side door doesn't open from the inside. I think the handle just got knocked loose when I fixed the window motor. Can fix this before sale.
The car has MOT until June but I can top this up if the buyer wants.
