1965 Austin MK 1 Mini Super De-Luxe in Old English White with a black roof. Fast road spec with a 1380 cc engine built by Peter Vickers. This is one of the very best restored mini I have ever seen. Words cant explain the condition so I have taken pictures on a ramp so that you can appreciate the time, effort and great expense that has been put into this unique and very special MK 1 Mini. The end result is a fast and refined car which is stunning to drive and feels alive in your hands. It feels new and tight and very precise. Due to the engine being fully balance and having a lightened flywheel it picks up and revs very freely and sounds amazing through its custom Maniflow polished exhaust system.
The 1380 A plus engine has had: new piston rings, balanced crank, pistons, rods and a lightened and balance flywheel. ARP con-rod bolts, Swiftune Vernier Duplex, Swiftune SW5 -07 Billet Camshaft. Modified distributer, Lumenition electronic ignition. Rebuilt Cooper S spec cylinder head with 1.5 roller rockers. New starter motor, alternator and solenoid.
Refurbished remote gearbox with 3.4 diff and uprated pin. Refurbished Hardy Splicers. Twin 1.5 inch SU carburettors with steel Maniflow inlet manifold with stainless heat shield. New polished stainless steel Maniflow RCM exhaust and LCB manifold.
All new fully adjustable suspension with Protech alloy dampers, new steering rack, uprated and adjustable tie bars and damping bolts. New Cooper S callipers and brake pads, new drive flanges and discs, new Cooper S master cylinder, Minifin rear drums and braided hoses all around. New SU fuel pump. New Rose Petal wheels with new Dunlop R7 period tyres. New Autosparks wiring loom, lights and connections.
The body has had new Heritage panels to include: front panel, inner wings, wings, inner and outer A panels, full scuttle, toe board, full floor assembly, companion boxes, boot floor. Rear subframe.
All of the bright work is new.
The interior has had the full Newton Commercial treatment inc new roof lining and sun visors but the seats are the originals which keeps some patina to the interior. New Britax seat belts, sound proofing, window channels and door / boot rubbers.
