This is an original sold new in Germany LHD 1970 Mercedes 280SL with manual gearbox.
This car was rally-prepared around 2000 for long-distance and winter events by a father and son team who took matters seriously.
After many successful years the car was recently brought back to more civil road guise again.
It received many new Mercedes body-panels, a new paint-job, new carpets, new soft-top and more.
But many of the internal rally-goodies were left on the car, such as new original Pagode cilinder-head, injection-pump, fuel injectors, new timing sprockets, radiator, custom made camshaft for more torque, steel engine supports, limited slip differential, Getrag 5-speed on original bell-house, upgraded brakes, front ventilated with original Pagode brake-pads, new coil springs, new 85 liter fuel-tank.
So the car might now look like a lamb, but it still has some wolf-tricks under its skin to make using it more fun.
It has been very well maintained over the years.
