This Toyota FJ40 is in remarkable condition. It has its F2 4.2 Ltr original petrol engine and as can been seen from the photos, remains unmolested and highly original with virtually all detailing age correct to the post 1979 – early 1980’s version of the FJ40 Land cruiser. This vehicle even came to me with the original Toyota AM radio. Useless, here in the UK but for those who want the vehicle to be entirely original it is available by separate negotiation
It is UK registered with V5C (with age appropriate registration number issued - ‘W’ reg) and is right hand drive.
No rust, no welding – body and chassis in excellent condition with original floor pans. I have deliberately not wax oiled/ undersealed the vehicle as it in excellent condition with nothing to hide or cover over. I would recommend the purchaser seal this if the vehicle is going to be used in the winter months. Electrics working, engine runs smoothly.
This vehicle underwent a comprenshive restoration 5 years ago.
Original drum brakes have been overhauled this summer.
New Bosch Battery fitted this year and a full set of 5 B F Goodrich KM2 Mud- Terrain tyres fitted at a cost of £1,200.
Drives well and was MOT’d in August with no advisories.
It will become Tax and MOT free in January 2022.
I imported this vehicle from a warm Pacific country several years ago and is one of the best examples I have purchased.
This is a highly original FJ40 in excellent condition, a great example to place in a collection or to use, but definitely an example for an enthusiast who can appreciate how original this vehicle is.
