1972 Jensen Interceptor Mk III For Sale
1972 Jensen Interceptor Mk III
The time has come to sell my wife's Jensen Interceptor. We bought the car in 2008 and she initially used it as her everyday car. Picking the boys up from school and taking them to cricket etc. in it. They soon became the coolest kids in school because there were being driven around in a 7.2 litre burbling V8 rather than a Golf or a Yaris.
At the time we had another Interceptor and we used to go to many of the Jensen Owners’ Club events in two cars. One time we both entered concours only to be parked next to each other. The arguments over Autosol polish almost ended in World War 3.
Having run my own classic car workshop for the last 7 years, this car has wanted for nothing. We had the body done in 2014 and it was all put back together for a superb trip to Luxembourg in 2015 where it didn’t miss a beat all week.
Last year we took it to the JOC International during the blistering summer heat and I managed to convince the wife to spend some more money on it to upgrade the air conditioning system. Two weeks later we took it to Classic Le Mans and arrived in air conditioned luxury. Again, the car didn’t miss a beat during the week we travelled around France.
So, is it a faultless concours queen, No.
Is it a smartly presented usable Interceptor with sensible upgrades, Yes.
It’s a ‘H’ series car, which is generally regarded as one of the quickest Interceptors (SP’s are not Interceptors for the pedants)
No tyre kickers, test pilots or dealers who think they can turn a quick buck. We want this car to go to someone who will appreciate and look after what has been part of our family for the last 11 years.
