1961 Motom 48 Sport No reserve For Sale by Auction

For sale in our forthcoming auction in Paris, on 27 october 2019

Italian title
Frame n° 48* 29571

The Motom 48 was born in 1947 in Milan. Its single crane frame simply consists of a pressed steel cross that directly joins the steering axle to the rear wheel. The suspended engine is a nice 4-stroke single-cylinder that develops 1. 5 hp. The cycling part evolves over the years and our 1961 model is now fitted with a telescopic fork and rear suspensions. The Motom was so well designed that a prepared version managed to beat multiple records at Monza, including an incredible 1, 000 km at an average speed of 87km/ h.

We are very proud to present this very moving collection. All the motorcycles reflect a man's passion for different brands and generations of two-wheelers. The ones that made him dream as a child in the 1940s and 1950s, as well as those he enjoyed riding, such as the BMWs and Guzzis. The original condition and low mileage of most of the motorcycles of the collection will certainly catch the attention of demanding collectors.

We inform buyers that the entire collection consists of motorcycles that were, for the most part, left unused for years in a private museum. They are therefore sold as they are and are to be restored and/ or recommissioned.

We advise all potential buyers to check the file of each motorcycle to obtain all information regarding the registration process in their countries.

Auction estimate: €2 000 / 3 000 - Without reserve price
