Außergewöhnlich hochwertig restaurierter Kabinenroller
Der von Flugzeugingenieur Fritz Fendt in den ersten Nachkriegsjahren erdachte Fendt-Flitzer entwickelte sich in den Folgejahren zum ernstzunehmenden Serienfahrzeug. 1953 wurde der Kabinenroller Messerschmitt KR 175 der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt. Der Name sorgte für Respekt und war vielleicht Teil des raschen Verkaufserfolgs. Der angewandte Leichtbau, die Tandemanordnung der Sitze und die Kuppel aus Plexiglas, sowie die Aerodynamik erinnerten stark an den Flugzeugbau. Die Kunst bestand im „Weglassen“. Im Frühling 1955 wurde daraus der wesentlich ausgereiftere KR 200. Bei 10 PS lag die Höchstgeschwindigkeit bei nun 100 km/ h. Ab 1957 hieß der Hersteller FMR, der die Kabinenroller noch bis Juni 1964 baute, zuletzt aber schon eher als Liebhaber- denn als Nutzobjekte.
Dieser Kabinenroller hat alles, was es braucht. Eine einzigartige Geschichte und einen ganz außergewöhnlichen Zustand. Ausgeliefert wurde er an seine Erstbesitzerin nach Ottobrunn. In den ersten drei Jahren übersiedelte er zwei Mal mit ihr im Großraum München. Stillgelegt im Dezember 1965, trat er Monate später eine wesentlich größere Reise an, hinter den eisernen Vorhang nach Budapest. Schon 1975 fand dort ein Maturant am Beginn seines Jura-Studiums in ihm sein großes Glück. Fast 45 Jahre dauert nun schon diese Liebesbeziehung, die sich zuletzt in einer Vollrestauration intensivierte. Zum Ergebnis kann man getrost sagen: “besser als neu.“ Aus jedem Blickwinkel weiß der Kabinenroller zu begeistern und einen besseren zu finden, wird sicher keine leichte Übung. Und eine solche Geschichte, einschließlich Pappdeckelbrief und originalem Kundendienstheft, hat garantiert kein zweiter!
