What a stunning looking 1965 Hillman Super Imp in Aquarius Metallic Blue, a correct Imp colour. The story as best I have been able to piece together is that she was dry stored around the mid to late-seventies and did not appear from hibernation until around 40 years later in 2017 when the previous owner discovered her. She was a two-owner car before being stored. There is an old style MoT certificate here, issued in December 1972 when the car had a mileage reading of 31,000. Today, it reads 37,000. Since that's pretty much what it read when the previous owner un-earthed it, then it is safe to assume that it had covered practically all of that by the 1970s. By the way, the odometer was working when the car was driven to the MoT station just a couple of weeks ago but has stopped working now. It's probably covered 30 miles more than today's reading.

However - now wait for this bit - although the mileage tells an interesting story, it is not overly important as the car's original engine was removed two years ago and totally rebuilt by Imp Sport! At the same time, she was painted in Aquarius Blue and I am told that no new panels or even panel repairs were needed. Amazing! Naturally, she had fallen off the DVLA radar during her four decades of sleep but Mr Strong (previous owner) was able to have her original registration re-instated and correspondence (as well as the car's original buff log book) is here to back all this up.

She's a cracking little Imp with mega straight panels, super paintwork and an untouched original interior (apart from the change of steering wheel). She has virtually a full MoT with no advisories even though she no longer requires testing due to legislation.

She is not a new car, nor is she a three-year-old used car. She is a piece of antique motoring history and, as such will have quirks and maybe even the odd fault. If I have actually discovered anything along those lines, then I will inform the new owner. Anyway, she is what she is. These old gems - in this case 54-years-old are sold as seen. Should you buy without viewing, then she is sold on the basis of the advertisement you have read the photos, or extra photos, you have seen as well with the assistance of any answers to questions you have received from me. Treat these classics with the respect they deserve and make sure they have love, time and effort lavished on them. Even the very best need permanent on going care. Practically all will have undergone a degree of restoration work or improvement at some stage. If it's a three-year-old car dating from the 1960s that you are after, then you are out of luck. Short of acquiring a Tardis that is.

Anyway, thanks for reading. I am here to answer any questions you may have and, remember, that I also provide a delivery service. Martin the details below)
