it should be stated that the car had always resided well inland throughout her life, specifically in the arid semi-desert KAROO region - this in conjunction the fact a number of body panels were made from "Aluminium" stampings as a weight-saving contribution towards performance - pleasingly meant that the car body and structure was rust free prior to the completion of full "nut and bolt" restoration commencing in 2017.
Another pleasing fact is that this car was never raced on track or rallied in her past and was never in an accident of any description - thankfully because the aluminium panels would definitely show "skin-ripples" if this had been the case.
