Genuine 36000 miles, really rare to find one with this genuine mileage
MOT 01/08/2020 although is now Mot exempt
This LWB Daimler Sovereign was first registered on August 3rd 1978 and has been in the previous owners care for over 14 years, prior to which for the preceding 21 years it had belonged to Scottish Judge and Author. The car still retains its original sale brouchure and old MOTs to verify mileage.
A story with the car is back in 2002 it was used to chauffeur HRH Duke of Edinburgh around a tour of the Western Isles.
The car retains all original features including radio and has no modern mods other than doing away with points in the distributor.
The interior of the car is very well kept and benefits from a recently new roof cloth. The leather could do with a good deep clean and reconditioning. The dash and veneer is near new condition.
All wheels have been refurbed and as close to original colour as possible.
The Juniper Green bodywork has been painted in the past but is to an excellent standard and the car looks stunning with the black vinyl roof complementing the colour, which this car really suits. There is a couple of blemishes but nothing major. As this car has been well cared for all structural parts are in great condition, sills and wheel arches all good and solid.
The car drives really well and is a extremely easy to drive. The car has slightly lumpy idle, the carbs could do with a strip, clean and rebalance. The 4.2 straight 6 is really great engine and is the best for these cars to cruise on the motorway and keep up with modern day traffic effortlessly. The engine bay/inner wings etc is original, really solid and clean.
Chrome is really good and original.
