1971 SUNBEAM ALPINE FASTBACK...32,000 MILES ONLY For Sale
The name Alpine was used by the Rootes Group for 2 of their models first the 2 door Sports car and then on a 2 door Fastback from 1969 to 1975.
The very interesting example we offer here is the 2 door 1725cc Fastback first registered in 1971. This Alpine has covered an unbelievable 32,000 miles from new having spent eighteen years of it's life in a Museum. The car was registered to a Gentleman from Paignton Devon. After five years in his custody the car was passed onto the Chase Montague Museum. In 2001 the car was acquired by a Gentleman from Exeter with a speedo reading at the time of 13,568 miles. In 2012 the Alpine was treated to a full glass and trim out repaint.
The large history file contains all evidence to confirm the 32,000 miles being correct. One lovely piece of evidence being it's original stamped Rootes service book. We also have a list of all the car's owner from new by way of photocopies of all the car's old log books.
Part exchange welcome, funds either way.
