Triumph Bonneville T120R (1 owner 1966-2015) For Sale
Lovely matching number, fully UK registered, 1 owner(1966-2015), 1966 T120R Bonneville with unique fully documented provenance.
Let's start on provenance, the bike comes with copy of the original 1966 USA title both front and back in owners name, actual dealer invoice to owner dated 17/6/1966 for the sum of $1362.60, the owner's carbon cheque copy for the purchase and the original 1966 Triumph Motorcycle Guarantee Registration postcard. I also have a copy of the 2015 title and new owner showing this was the first time bike had been sold on since 1966. I also have Triumph Owners dating certificate and VMCC works records both showing build dates, dispatch dates etc and certifying it is a matching number bike.
Now the bike condition, it is in excellent used condition with age related patina, see pictures, the frame paint is excellent, paintwork on tank is very good, paint on shocks have some chips in places, chrome is very good with some minor pitting on rims.
The bike has had the following modifications over its lifetime that I can ascertain or/and have been told about. It is fitted with Electronic ignition, the original carbs have been replaced with Amal concentrics and velocity stacks fitted(a common upgrade in late 60's through the 70's) and the original bars have been swapped out to lower bars with some newer (late 60's ?) switch gear. It has also had a recent top end overhaul by new owner in 2015 with plus 40 over pistons fitted. As such bike should be run in as appropriate and head re-torqued after about 100 miles. Bike has also been fully serviced this year by Triumph specialist John Hallard at Meriden motorcycles where the bike can be viewed.
The bike starts, runs shifts as it should and all electrics are working.
Don't miss out on this 60's classic with unique provenance. Can be viewed at Meriden Motorcycles in West Midlands.
