Previously owned by a managing director of Sytner BMW and latterly by the lead singer of The Kooks, this BMW 2002 Baur Cabriolet was delivered new to Mr Richard Durlacher by Motortune Limited, Brompton Road, London on 11th July 1973.
The car has covered just 51, 328 miles from new and was fully restored in 1990 by specialist Jaymic, with invoices to support this. Following this a previous custodian then had the exterior repainted once again, in the original shade of Fjord Blue, to remove any minor imperfections.
This 2002 presents in superb condition today, as one would expect for a cared for low mileage example. Being an original UK car, this example is one of only 354 right hand drive examples and one of only 260 early round tail light models.
The car was purchased by the current custodian in 2017 and has been cared for in his ownership by specialists Munich Legends. Sold with large history file including owner’s handbook and original warranty card, this fantastic example of a rare Baur Cabriolet is now ready for a new owner.
