Coming to us after fairly long term storage (three years) is this very nice spec 1986 280GE G Wagon Automatic. Please note a full valet will be carried out prior to sale but wanted to grab some pictures while the sun was out. ( better pictures to follow)
While in storage it picked up some marks here and there and its owner decided to have its body work refreshed so all in very good order, unfortunately during this time its service history went missing along with all its hand books.
Mechanically its engine starts easily and sounds superb, no nasty rattles or smoke, so you would have to assume it must have been looked after to sound this good and its Auto box behaves as Mercedes intended, smooth changes and no clunks.
Inside the trim is very good, just the roof lining board has begun to sag but no cracked dash or ripped seats, including the optional 6th and 7th seats in the back. One thing this car does have is a full aftermarket air conditioning system has been professionally fitted to complement its electric windows, just in case we actually get a summer next year.
Currently MOTd until September 2020 and with the way prices on these classic G Wagons are going, priced competitively to allow for the missing service history.
