At Hampshire Classics, we have 42 years’ experience of taking care of beautiful cars and, as a specialist storage facility, we look after a number of incredible vehicles. Occasionally, we are asked to help sell some of these cars and this is how we are able to offer this impeccable Jaguar E-Type Coupe, with correct matching numbers, for sale on behalf of the owner.
The Jaguar is finished in Silver with a Red leather interior and benefits from full PPF treatment by Topaz of London. Its date of manufacture is 23/11/1967 and it has covered 7,483 miles since restoration.
The current owner purchased the car in 2016 while in the early stages of a full restoration, having been imported back to the UK from the United States where it was originally delivered new to New York. Clayton Classics sourced the car and have curated all the work undertaken since then.
Whilst the car was sound, it was apparent that it would benefit from restoration and also to return the car to right-hand drive. Clayton Classics undertook all the body and mechanical works and the interior restoration was entrusted to Mick Turley, renowned Jaguar trimming specialist, who worked on the E-Type production line trimming new cars in period.
The car was completed in the early summer of 2016 and has benefited from some subtle enhancements to improve drivability, safety and comfort. Where up-rated parts have been used, the car’s originals have been placed in secure storage with Clayton Classics. The upgrades include;
~ Air conditioning.
~ Suspension upgrades.
~ Brake system upgrade.
~ 5-speed gearbox.
~ Twin fuel pump system.
~ Electronic fuel injection.
~ Cooling system upgrades.
~ LED headlights.
~ LED interior lighting system.
~ New wiring loom with upgraded fuse board.
~ Inertia reel seat belts.
~ New chrome wire wheels.
~ Up-rated steering rack
~ Engine performance upgrades.

No expense has been spared in this meticulous restoration. The car was returned to Clayton Classics during the winter of 2017/18 for the paintwork to be checked and subsequently, the car has had full body PPF applied to protect all surfaces and maintain a perfect paint finish.
This is now a car of the very highest calibre, wanting for nothing, and arguably the most desirable of the E-Type models. It is suitable for regular use or as part of a high value collection and, in the words of the owner, “she is probably one of the finest E-Types available today”.
~ Comprehensive document file.
~ Hard backed ‘Restoration Story’ book with photographs.
~ Car Cover.
~ Battery charger.
~ Original vehicle parts currently in storage with Clayton Classics.
~ Lifetime Guarantee – Engine.
