We are absolutely delighted to present for sale this very special 1980 Mini 95 pickup
It has just benefitted from a most comprehensive programme of restoration, resulting in this highly unique finish, an evocation of a pit lane or race support vehicle, perfect for those classic race meets.
When we purchased it, the body was already in excellent rust-free condition. We stripped it of every single solitary component to a bare shell, before having it repainted in BMC Glen Green.
The cabin has been kept to standard specification, with new door cards, carpet and numerous other components wherever necessary.
Mechanically the vehicle is in excellent order, with engine, transmission, suspension, steering and brakes all operating perfectly. Cream Cooper S replica wheels and brand-new tyres and hubcaps have been fitted.
Where this Mini really stands out is the load area. A totally bespoke fitted load bed has been created with a sliding tool chest, wheel/tyre storage area, and compartments for fuel cans and other essentials. The tool chest slides out on runners, and can be totally removed if required.
This has been topped off with a handmade tilt, created out of the finest grade canvas, beautifully detailed with rope ties, zips, tabs and a distinctive Union Jack with gold mesh “window” at the rear. The impressive load bed and tilt have been completed with exceptional quality.
This build has cost many thousands of pounds, with no expense spared, anywhere. There are also lots of invoices for work carried out by previous owners. It’s truly a piece of British craftsmanship at it’s best.
This utterly unique vehicle is ready to go with 12 months MOT. You will be guaranteed to stand out from any other Mini should you purchase this vehicle!
Please note: This car will be featured in an upcoming episode of Salvage Hunters Classic Cars featuring Drew Pritchard and Paul Cowland, and we would be keen for the new owner to potentially appear on camera purchasing the car from our presenters
