over the past 14 years it has been lovingly cared for and has benefitted from an extensive restoration all carried out by porscheshop in droitwich. Everything it has wanted for it has had, it’s been upgraded where possible along the way to make this and extremely well sorted 3.2 carrera sport that’s better than when it left the factory. All works have been well documented in a large ring binder folder with many photographs detailing the restoration along with all supporting parts and labour invoices.
to give a brief indication on what’s been done, it has had a complete strip down to the bare metal, the front wings, kidney bowls and sills have all been replaced, the floor was immaculate, all cavities have been rust proofed and the car professionally painted in its original grand prix white.
the exhaust has been replaced with a dansk stainless steel system
the heating system has been completely overhauled and has also benefitted from stainless steel heat exchangers.
all 4 corners have been upgraded with bilstein suspension
the front brakes have been upgraded to cross drilled discs with 993 4 pot calipers
new bridgestone potenza tyres all round
front strut brace
rolling road tuned
over £20,000 has been spent on maintenance and restoration over the past 10 years and the car has covered less than 10,000 miles since, it’s always garaged and only used over the spring/summer months.
it’s a well known car in the porsche club gb, it’s been exhibited on the porsche club stand at the nec classic car show in 2009 and 2014, it took part in the 50th anniversary parade at silverstone and has been on many porsche owners club rallies over the summer months including the cotswold rally and the st george’s day rally.
this year i’ve had the seat inserts professionally re-upholstered in the red/blue maclachlan tartan that was optional on the turbo model of the same year, i’ve also opted for a momo prototipo steering wheel with matching porsche horn push after driving a fellow club members car with this steering wheel, it gives the car a much nicer feel and has been a very popular modification in recent years.
the car comes with 2 large folders full of history, bills, receipts and plaques, all owners manuals are present and the car comes with 2 sets of keys, central locking fobs and opc immobiliser fobs.
in summary, this is a fantastic example of a classic 911 that ticks all the boxes, it has reasonable mileage, extensive service history, the correct maintainence, professional restoration, tasteful upgrades and modifications, if there’s a better car out there for a more reasonable price, i’d love to know about it, it’s priced the way it is because i don’t live under a rock, i’m fully aware that the classic car market isn’t where it was 2 years ago so please don’t call trying to play that card.
i’m happy to answer further questions and show the car to genuinely interested parties, please feel free to call me on 07568439021 should you wish to discuss the car in further detail or arrange a viewing.
i may be interested in an interesting part exchange but must be a car of similar quality, i’m not selling the car for any other reason than i fancy a change.
