After more than 10 years of driving pleasure we will say goodbye to our beautiful Bentley Park Ward Sports Saloon 4.25-liter 1936, chassisnr B89GP, enginenr E7BD. This was purchased in 2008 from the The Realcar Company in Wales. There the block was rebuild before delivery. During a long drive after delivery, the cylinder head appeared to show some leakage, after which a new aluminum cylinder head was supplied by The Realcar Company for shared costs. This was installed here by a very experienced technician. So basically, a complete rebuild engine about 8000 miles ago. Afterwards, the radiator block was renewed due to leakage. During a tour with the Dutch Bentley Drivers Club I had to deal with a broken halfshaft. On the advice of Ken Lea (Derby Bentley specialist) I took the opportunity to completely overhaul the rear axle using a high ratio CWP (3.64: 1). Fiennes Restoration Ltd bills for all parts, 2 new half-shafts and all required bearings etc. are in the file. At the end of 2017 the wheels were blasted and coated, and new Ensign tires were installed. The body and paintwork are in good condition as well as the interior. The car comes with all the documentation I have as well as a complete workshop manual and tool roll.
