Reluctant sale of my buell but at the age of 63 I do not need to be tempted to ride as fast as this machine seems to demand.
I purchased in june 2006 from the original owner who had put 1000 miles on the clock. I added the next 30,000 until 2017 doing a six mile commute in central london. (I have done no long, high speed journeys on this machine). Since 2017 the bike has been laid up in my garage with outings to the mot centre only.
I have however carried out all maintenance myself and this includes new forks, head steady, wheel bearings, drive belts, oil changes, filters and the like.
The last MoT was done on 30/09/2019, the tyres are almost new (the rear is), oils and filter are freshly changed.
The seat comes from the 900cc City model as it is far more comfortable but the original is included in the sale as are the original footrests and brackets. The exhaust is not original but is an expensive stainless steel racing type (not like the paper thin remus ones) and these are no longer available and go for circa $1000 on ebay.
The bike runs as well as it did on the day I acquired it and is a testament to American engineering. I am happy to answer any serious enquiries. Many thanks for looking.
The Buell 1125R is a rarely spotted alternative to more commonplace sports bikes from the usual Japanese and Italian manufacturers. With no exaggeration, each and every time I venture out on the Buell.....
