MGB GT 1978 Historic vehicle so zero rated for Tax and exempt from MOT.
Even though it is MOT exempt I have just got a NEW MOT on the car to indicate that it’s not a rust bucket. There were only two advisories. One on rear brake balance and the other indicated that a couple of metal brake pipes are corroded. The rear brake imbalance was due to the new brake shoes, one being a bit tight and by the time I had got to the MOT station was dragging a bit. Just needed backing off.
The car has had a new interior, new discs, pads and brake hoses on the front. I installed a duplex timing chain, cogs and oil seal. There was a knock from the diff, so I completely rebuilt the back axle, replacing all bearings and seals etc. I also renewed the rear brake shoes at the same time. The car has been used only a few times over the last couple of years so I’ve decided that she must go. It had developed a bit of an exhaust leak recently ,so I’ve just put a new exhaust on the car, replacing the manifold to down-pipe and head to manifold studs in the process. The tyres are good and the overdrive works. It has electronic ignition and it looks to me as both master cylinders have been replaced in the past. There is a bit of blistering on the rear and rust breaking through the near side rear arch. Price reduced
A very nice MGB GT in the original color "British Racing Green". A beautiful car with overdrive. This MGB GT was delivered new in 1973 in the United States. Then the car in 1995 came to the Netherlands......
We are always looking for nice clean MG stock, Midgets, BGTs, Roadsters, MG 1100s, Magnettes, MGA's etc

Full restoration required for this early and quite rare MK1 GT. Castle sections and sills are good, comes with original aluminium bonnet and interior, non overdrive gearbox.
