1961 JAGUAR MK2 3.8 LITRE BEAUTIFUL BRITISH CLASSIC CAR For Sale1961 Jaguar 3.8 Mark 2. Manual overdrive. Light British Racing Green with excellent Suede Green interior and chrome wires. The original registration from new is 3GNK. The mileage displayed is 78,285 which when reading the cars excellent history one would assume to be correct. This Jaguar was purchased on 23/6/1961 by a Mr E G Roberts (a company accountant) from Imperial Motor Mart Cheltenham. Mr Roberts kept the car until the 16/10/1980 when it was sold to Mr Sinclair. There is considerable service history and invoices during Mr Roberts' (the first owner) ownership including a replacement 3.8 engine. Mr Sinclair 2nd owner appears to have done only 1,100 miles in his ownership and then sold the car to the 3rd owner in 2012. We purchased the Jaguar on 7/1/2013 for our Jaguar collection and removed all the paint to check the bodywork before repainting. With the comprehensive history is the original Bill of Sale. Original service manual. Original operating manual. Original wall chart. Original manufacturer's warranty card. Original maintenance voucher. Original radiomobile registration card guarantee. Original Castrol lubrication service wallet. Original service facilities book. Early service history back to 1961. The original wheel spats are with the car, also the full set of original steel factory wheels. The Jaguar left the factory with the rare high ratio steering which we believe was a Coombs option. The engine sounds and pulls strong and has excellent oil pressure. We do not believe in separating number plates from historic cars but as a matter of interest registration 1 GNK is currently on sale at £39,995 by Reg Transfers. Drive a British Legend and a glorious blend of styling power and engineering. Would take interesting PX cash either way. We are also after a Series 2 E Type Roadster in excellent condition.
