Intro / exterior
Beautiful Porsche 996 Carrera 4S, in the desiable coupe, non sun-roof, manual guise and finished in the popular Seal Grey (colour code 6B4) with black leather interior. This Porsche has been meticulously cared for, having only ever been serviced and looked after by the Porsche main dealer. The bodywork condition is exceptional and it would be very difficult to point out any imperfections whatsoever. The car has benefitted from a soft headed machine polish and hand wax while in with us, protecting and emphasising the beautiful condition of the paintwork. The headlights are clean and clear without any of the common yellow coloured oxidisation. The original, genuine Porsche Turbo/4S wide bodied alloy wheels are on the car and all four are in prestine condition with N rated Bridgestone tyres fitted with very good tread.
Inside the Porsche is a timeless, desirable black leather interior, which is also found in exceptional condition throughout. Usual wear points such as the seat side bolstering and steering wheel etc have very minimal signs of wear and things such as the carpets and headlining are as-new. Everything inside functions as intended by Porsche, including the air conditioning system. There are two keys with the car, both operational remote key fobs. The Porsche is of a high specification, including optional extras such as; alcantara suede headlining, "Tequipment" aluminium embodied handbrake and gearstick, PCM satellite navigation system, 8-way electric seats, memory positional seats. The optional extra codes are as follows: C16, X97, X98, 425, 440, 446, 665, 666, 670, 680, 692, 750, 09991, 09971, 09941.
The Carrera 4S drives in a way that is representative of its low mileage of 59k miles. The flat 6 3.6 litre engine starts, idles and performs on the road perfectly, with no oil leaks present, no smoke emitted from the rear, a fantastic noise created and brilliant performance available beneath the right foot. The clutch is as it should be with good weight and a good biting point and the gearbox changes through the six speeds seamlessly. The large 4S/Turbo brakes have lots of life in them and stop the car quickly and confidentally. There's a tremendous amount of grip provided by the 4 wheel drive system and huge traction from the 295 wide Bridgestone tyres on the rear. The suspension feels utterly tight with no abnormal noises made anywhere and the steering is positive and confidence-giving to the driver behind the wheel.
As noted above, the two previous keepers to this Porsche have only ever had it looked after and serviced by the Porsche main dealer. There is a folder filled with paperwork such as invoices for works from Porsche, HPI certificates, MOT certificates etc. There is also of course the original Porsche leather wallet filled with the original owners manuals and the servicing booklet with the following service intervals completed:
14/10/2005 - 6,057 miles, 02/10/2006 - 9,167 miles, 16/10/2008 - 21,118 miles, 21/09/2010 - 32,384 miles, 02/10/2012 - 39,620 miles, 02/10/2013 - 43,798 miles, 14/10/2014 - 47,683 miles, 29/09/2015 - 50,736 miles, 16/10/2017 - 56,046 miles.
