For sale is a 1972 Alfa Romeo Montreal in red with black interior.
Built on 31/12/72 and registered on 5/4/74, hence the 'M' registration. Owned by my family for the last 13 years. 7 former owners. Regularly taken to Classic car events during the summer months throughout our ownership.
MOT until 25/08/20 with no advisories. The odometer currently displays 100,500kms/63,000 miles.
Lovely revvy V8 engine enhanced by the stainless exhaust system. Every trip out in this car feels special. The car drives well but may need a clutch bleed and/or cylinder adjustment as the pedal can be slow to return while changing gears. I've not looked into this yet as it's not really a problem when driving. The car isn't used much these days so can sometimes take a few moments of cranking to fire up, but it never fails to start. Otherwise it drives really nicely and turns lots of heads. It was also filmed for a television series last summer, though this has yet to air, so it might be (very slightly) famous!
Last year the car spent six weeks with a high quality paint shop to correct some paint and bodywork issues, mostly with the door bottoms which were starting to bubble, and it now looks very smart indeed.
Below is an overview of the car's service history. The Montreal has been used sparingly by myself since late 2017 and hasn't required any new parts in this time.

2016: Clutch slave cylinder replaced.
2015: Front and rear brake caliper seals and dust seal rings replaced. 2012: The car was kept off the road.
2011: HT leads, spark plugs, air filter casing wing nuts, 4x rear light lens screws, 8 unspecified O-rings (I'm fairly certain they were for the throttle assembly, as I know these have been replaced), bulb holder, 2x indicators all replaced.

2008: No parts replaced.
2007: Custom stainless exhaust system fitted, radiator pressure tested, indicator flasher unit replaced.
Sadly we don't possess much history prior to 2007 as the previous owner failed to provide it, and the asking price reflects this. Several attempts were made to contact them but we ultimately failed. While this is a bit of a shame, anybody seriously interested will be willing to look past this and consider the car in its present condition.
We're asking £42000 or very near offer. Viewings and overseas interest are welcome. Please also feel free to contact me with any questions you may have (if by phone, please make contact within reasonable hours).
The car will be sold with two binders full of factory technical information, including schematics, troubleshooting guides and lists of part numbers. This includes the SPICA fuel pump instruction manual and the factory adjustment tools for the SPICA system. There is also a spare Montreal owner's handbook in very good condition.
