|Originally registered 3500TU, this car was owned by Rolls-Royce and used as a Press demonstrator. I bought it in 2018 from a fellow RREC member who owned it for 4 years, and it was previously in long term enthusiast ownership. It is one of only 310 of this model produced between 1977 and 1980.|
It has a comprehensive history file, including period advertising brochures, handbooks and supplements, service record and detailed receipts for the past 20 years with several well-known specialists, including Nigel Sandell (who sold it to the last owner), Paul Yorke and others. Overall excellent condition, with ice cold air-con, fast and smooth windows, and a full hydraulic service completed 8000 miles ago so the brakes and suspension are fantastic. The woodwork has also been restored.
It benefits from a carb conversion from the original Solex to twin SUs, often seen on these cars as the Solex was so troublesome. Complete with valuable private plate SSV 918.
Having now seen a few, this car is easily as good as those at specialist dealers for anything up to twice my asking price and beyond. It remains the cheapest 'proper' Corniche on this website.
