One of the rarest David Brown era Aston Martins  and certainly one of the most attractive convertibles of all time
No expense spared restoration to concours-winning standard by marque specialists Bodylines, Spray-Tec, Elite Trimming and Aston Engineering
Numerous AMOC concours accolades and invitations to display at Windsor Castle and Chateau de Chantilly
Matching numbers and accompanied by Factory Build Sheet, Heritage Certificate and extensive history file
With only 70 ever built, few British motor cars are as highly prized by automotive connoisseurs as the DB4C. Precisely proportioned, the classic silhouette introduced with the DB4 remained virtually unchanged until 1970 and remains an icon of automotive design to this day.Among the rarest of the David Brown era models (with the sole exception of the Zagato) the convertible DB4 combines legendary sporting performance with the splendour of open-air driving.
The first production motor car to reach 100mph in under half a minute, the DB4C is doubtless the equal of its continental rivals. The sporting prowess of its twin-cam straight six engine had already proved itself in the DBR2 which used tweaked DB4 units in campaigns at Silverstone at Le Mans.
Delivered new to the UK, this 1962 example has always been maintained by marque specialists, irrespective of cost. During its current ownership of eighteen years, this motor car has undergone a sympathetic nut and bolt restoration with marque specialists such as Spray-Tec to bring it to a concours-winning standard. Further mechanical upgrades include power steering and overdrive, making this DB4C the ideal continental tourer.
This timelessly elegant DB4C has been toasted at concours events across Europe, with wins at various AMOC events and invitations to be displayed at the Windsor Castle Concours d’Elegance, the Aston Martin Centenary celebrations and the Chantilly Arts and Elegance Richard Mille.
Accompanied by a meticulous history and service file, including a copy of the factory build sheet and heritage certificate, this DB4C is on the button and ready to be enjoyed.
