Lovely 1961 Alvis TD21 right-hand drive, wearing its original factory specification of Alice Blue over Pale Blue leather trim and blue carpets. Chassis 26629, delivered 25/07/61 to nearby Motor Packing Co in Coventry.
Factory four-speed manual, it is very nice mechanically and drives beautifully, a lovely relaxed cruiser for sunny days. A nice older restoration, there are a few small areas of bodywork and a few cracks/discolouration in the wood dash that will require attention in the coming years but it is otherwise ready to be enjoyed right away. No rips or tears in the nicely patinated leather trim, all electrics work as they should. Mileage showing at 10,350, possibly reset to zero during restoration works, but it is only five digits so could be 110,350.
Extensive history file including original build sheet, original Alvis spare parts catalogue, old MOT certificates, photos of a restoration in the 90s, receipts and invoices from Red Diamond for parts including an engine rebuild, three brass radiator badges from International Alvis Weekends in the 90s, and show awards including an engraved pewter tankard.
Car is currently located in secure storage in London, but can be brought to Cambridge or St Ives (Cambridgeshire) for inspection if this is easier.
