Moretti 124 Berlinetta 1968 For Sale

In 1968 Moretti S. P. A. had only 164 employees, this pretty Berlinetta was designed by a swiss designer Dany Brawand (1934-2012), a young pupil of Giovanni Michelloti, who took him in his studio in Turin, from 1952-1964.
Very much appreciated by Giovanni Moretti in late models produced in the past, become design director of his company.
In 1966 Moretti presented the 850 Sportiva at the Turin Racing Car Show in February 1966. This cars were often accused of plagiarising the design of the Fiat Dino Spider from Pininfarina, whose lines were rather similar, but chronology that this is not correct Dino's first appearance was three months later, and according to specialist Alessandro Sannia, in his book Moretti, Dany Brawand and Aldo Brovarone were friends and met several times, and might discussed and compared their ideas.
The 124 introduced in March 1966, offer new opportunities but again there was an official programe, the new model and prototype was unveiled at the Turin Show in November 1966, the final version was launched in March at the Geneva Show in 1967.

This hand built car received the 1200cc engine from Fiat 124 saloon car, a few customers more attracted by confort and finish then performance. This car was commissioned with several expensive extras, such as, seats, Hellebore steering wheel, and the very rare Cromodora Fergat alloy wheels.
Car is under total professional restoration, all parts existents, and spares.
The original color was Blu Cannes/ Mediterranean Blue 8006, lately painted Medium Red.
