1976 Triumph Dolomite Sprint For Sale
The car is mainly original with a few modifications to enhance the drive. Overall the car is in excellent mechanical condition but in need of some bodywork repairs.
The 16v engine is original, still running the leaded head. Whilst in our ownership we have fully rebuilt the carbs, given it a general service and had the engine professionally set up. It is now running at 135hp and 147lbft. The gearbox and overdrive are both in great working condition.
The car is sat on genuine Minilights in decent condition and Avo coilover suspension for a smoother and more predictable ride. In our ownership we have fitted some 1144 Mintex pads for a bit more bite and all old bushes have been replaced with a full polybush kit from Rimmer Bros. We have gone over all mechanical parts to ensure the car runs well and reliably.
The bodywork does however need attention. The underside is very solid with no rust but some of the panels will need work. It had been our intention to replace the doors and front wings to bring the bodywork up to scratch. Unfortunately we no longer have the time to complete this and is the main reason for the sale of the car.
The interior is in average condition. The front seat base supports have both been replaced to give them back the cushioning they should have.
The Sprint is both tax and MOT exempt but I will happily put it through an MOT for any new owner.
