Honda CB750 K6 December 1975, that makes it one of the earliest K6's out there. Tax and MOT exempt.
Without the CB750 modern sports bikes would not exist, the frame and steering geometry is lovely.
Stuff done:
Cam chain checked and judging by the amount of travel on the cam chain tensioner, it has done very little work. New oil filter and fresh oil.
New advance retard springs. New Dyna Tech electronic ignition, new solid state rectifier.
Front brake rebuilt with new pads, piston and seal. Forks rebuilt with new legs, seals and fresh oil. Wheel bearings and swinging arm bearings checked.
Clocks rebuilt with the correct faces for the year, although I when rebuilding them I couldn't find the paperwork and set them a little low. They should show 22500 ish miles not 20250 ish miles. Either way not a lot of miles for these bikes and you get some free miles :)
Carbs ultrasonically cleaned, new seals and vacuum balanced. The rubber caps on top of the carbs are nearly £50 each! New inlet rubbers and clamps. New air filter.
New battery. The wiring has been gone through front to back.
New badges - all correct for this model with the winged diamonds facing in the right direction.
The paint is Honda Sulfur Yellow, which looks great and stands out in a sea of CB750s. Sulfur Yellow was introduced in late 1975 so is period correct for the bike and was featured on the Goldwing and the CB750F1. The literature doesn't mention this as an option for the K series, but I have seen two in the US.
The exhaust came with the bike and I like it, so I didn't go for the traditional 4-4 set up.
