|The famous 1963 Ex John E Miles Turner Ford MK2 race car VUD 701 is being offered for sale. Developed from new purely as a race car in 1963 to be the ultimate Turner Modsports Racer. In 1964 this car won outright the Autosport National Championship winning 15 out of 17 races and two DNF's while leading, beating the numerous works team cars of the day. Ford Cosworth designed engines have been powering VUD 701 since birth and now uses the ultimate Cosworth developed n/a Ford X/Flow 1824cc all steel screamer, AX Cosworth block with Holbay access cover, Cosworth rods and crank, Titan SL roller rockers and steel posts, Titanium pushrods, high swirl full race Cosworth head with REC thin stem race valves with Isky race springs, dry sumped. Developing over 220 bhp on 108 fuel, this engine revs to well over 10k. Full aircraft hosing throughout.|
Quaife Dogbox, AP clutch, 12 bolt Skelton flywheel with 7.25 AP race clutch, 5/link Ford English with Quaife LSD and shafts. Everything is Rose-Jointed. Bespoke Simpson S/S race manifold and system.

This famous race car has held numerous class lap records and still holds numerous lap records around the country from 1964, with many of them set by its original owner drivers such as John E Miles, John Moore, Tony Dunderdale, Mark Hales, Tony Broome and Chris Fulke-Greville. This car has been continuously developed from the 1960's to 1980's to win and now developed in 2021 to continue its winning ways.
