1978 Lomax FG Prototype Historic Sports Special For Sale

An opportunity to purchase an absolutely unique vehicle. In 1982, The Lomax Motor Company began production of a British sports car based on the Citroen 2 CV. In 1989 a prototype for a new 4 wheel model was proposed. Built on a 1978 2CV chassis and engine (matching numbers) and called the Lomax FG Special. Although it created much interest at shows, sadly the car never reached full production stage and so this steel bodied prototype remains the only example of the Lomax FG Special. Since being built the FG has only had two previous custodians (including the original engineer who built the car). The previous owner had extensive work carried out by reknown 2CV performance specialists Sparrow automotive. The car comes with a huge history file of MOTs, invoices, etc. and great provenance including Lomax launch publicity, registered patent documents, extensive build photo file and an original copy of a car magazine featuring a six page launch article. Be in no doubt this is a totally one off prototype with great provenance and beautiful patina. It is great fun to drive and stops and starts very will indeed. It turns heads like no other classic car I have ever owned. Please call on 07970255818 (I am on whats app) or email for further details and more pictures.
