1953 RILEY 2.5 litre RMF SOLD

|I have owned this beautiful and powerful car for 13 years and during that time I have enjoyed over 30,000 miles of trouble-free motoring in it including two motoring holidays a year, every year, since its purchase. I now wish to sell it as, (whisper it quietly), I have a new love coming, another Riley, this time a drop-head, and regretfully, I need the garage space. It is in lovely condition and has always been indulged with whatever it needed to keep it running perfectly during my ownership. I have fully maintained and serviced it. Brake fluid changed last winter and any parts needed have been replaced or repaired as required to keep the whole car in tip-top shape.|
BODY: Major refurbishment last winter; Paint was soda blasted down, all rust cut out, new metal let in and then the whole body treated to a full, bare metal, respray and now, as a result it has a rust-free body in fine condition.
INTERIOR: The interior woodwork has been refinished, the seats rebuilt, the leather-work repaired and repainted, rather than replaced to keep originality and the door cards rebuilt. The carpets are in excellent condition. Original reach adjustable steering column to fit all sizes of driver. There is a working, period radio from the 1950’s fitted that was converted to FM by the Vintage Wireless Radio Company.
ENGINE: Powerful 2.5 litre 'big four' OHV engine. Now showing about 66,000 miles on the clock, of which over 30,000 was achieved during my tenure. I cannot guarantee that the mileage is correct, but it seems to be about right for its visual condition. Discretely converted to electronic ignition and giving total reliability of spark as a result. Regular oil changes and with the correct oil pressure showing and the water temperature always constant, winter and summer. I fitted an electric fan but I have never had occasion to use it.
HISTORY; Four owners from new, including me. I have a file of all expenses and purchases during my ownership and quite a few previous to that, to be included in the sale
