If you have ever fancied entering The Monte Carlo Rally Historique or the HERO winter challenge rally, then this car is perfect for you.
This Fiat Abarth 127 has completed the most famous rally in the world THREE times. 2014 (fifth in class), 2017 and 2018 additionally it has completed the toughest of historic rallies Le Jog (first in class 2012) and The 2013 Pirelli Classic Marathon.
The above was achieved by its last owners one of which was David Power of Powerflex (last two Monte's). We bought the car with the intention of rallying it. Unfortunately for us but fortunately for you our plans have changed.
Since our purchase we have had installed a NEW ( zero miles)80 Hp 1050cc Abarth engine and a NEW limited slip diff. Built and installed by Amsterdam based Abarth specialist Grant Gauld.
When David decided to do the Monte (following grandfathers footsteps) the car had the following work done in preparation.
It was completely rewired with new wiring with additional fuses for ancillaries.
New Hella spot and fog lights all relayed and fused.
Additional gauges, interior front and rear lights, reversing and fog lights.
Additional power and USB socket.
New custom made Corbeau seats and harnesses retaining inertia belts for road use.
New Brantz international 2S pro trip with additional drivers display.
New De Carbon shock absorbers and bushes.
New drive shafts.
Long Duralmin sump guard which has more than proved its worth.
Very rare and expensive group 4 hydraulic fly off handbrake rear disc conversion.
New discs and Pagid pads.
It comes with various spares including 6 spare wheels and special compound winter and studded tyres.
This is a super fun, very capable reliable and light rally car.
David built it just to enter the Monte and had three amazing events. One of which is featured in Octane magazine (copy with the car).
The Monte Carlo Historique is notoriously difficult to get an entry for. The organisers want variety and two of Davids pals, one with a full rally 911 and the other who spent £40,000 building a Lancia Fulvia were both denied entry being told that they have too many 911's and Fulvia's.
The little Fiat Abarth gained an instant entry each year with only one other 127 entered.
Now with it's fresh engine and new LSD it is ready to storm the snowy Alp's.
This is a private sale and the car is located near to Totnes in Devon (UK) where it can be inspected by arrangement.
The whole package is offered complete with current FIA historic regularity passport, NEW zero hours engine, NEW LSD, long MOT and a few spares.
Competitive and 100% reliable this is a great little car and an ideal entry to many exciting and fun events. You could not buy the car and build it for the price.
