This bike has been known to the BSA Goldstar owners Club for many years. left the BSA factory in April 1957 as a Road Racer and arrived in Singapore at the Cycle and Carriage Company where we believe it was raced.
Then frame number appears to have changed in the 1960`s when its current frame appears to have been fitted we believe also that the engine was also fitted from the 1957 frame possibly due to an accident but we cannot confirm these facts . we believe that the frame number appears in the BSA records as a not used frame and is in the March 1960 records . These numbers were generally used as replacement frames for accident damage. KSJ 391 is a Scottish number which has been used as an age related number by the DVLA . There is a letter from BSA Goldstar owners club to a previous club member owner confirming the dates etc tally and consignment note numbers etc. The bike appears to have been owned by 3 North Wales owners and has only covered 513 miles since a full rebuild by a Gold star Club member in 2007 judging by the bills which come with the folder .
We have for sale a lovely now touring trim 350 Goldstar with a 1957 engine and a 1960 frame , fitted a standard gearbox , touring handlebars ,lovely chrome petrol tank , exhaust system and nice mudguards
The new chrome wheels have been beautifully rebuilt with what looks like stainless spokes , we think Central wheels did them. the GP carb and matchbox float are in very good condition. has a RC83 rev counter fitted with matching 120 mph speedo. In 2015 there is a receipt for a new 6 spring clutch plates, The single sided front brake is a great brake and used on the RGS as well . I love the BSA logo on the headlight peak .The bike starts easily and rides very well .We can put a Pearson electric starter on at approximately £1950 should the new owner require one. All the hassle of a newly rebuilt bike seems to have all the little problems ironed out now its done 500 miles and this bike looks like new.
The 350 Goldstar`s in my opinion are more FUN than the 500 mainly because you seem to ride them much easier and with the sensible STD box fitted they become easy in traffic with no clutch slipping required as with the RRT2 gearboxes if you fancy some great sounding riding then this is the bike for you . Have a good look at the pictures to see the attention to detail.
we are available also on the details below during the Virus . keep safe.
