1972 Triumph Dolomite 1850 with overdrive fitted with 2 litre TR7 engine with HS6 carbs and Sprint Lucas distributor, desirable early car with central interior light and vinyl loop grab handles. New sills and boot floor welded to a very high standard by the previous owner, a Dolomite enthusiast using panels supplied by the Triumph Dolomite Owners Club, also has been fitted with a Pertronix electronic ignition and has had the electrical system upgraded with relays and extra fuses, has a new stainless steel exhaust, new Firestone tyres, coolant hoses, clutch slave cylinder and hose. Loads of paperwork including invoices, M.O.T certificates and tax discs. Body and paintwork are ok but needs some cosmetic work especially to the lower passenger door which is bubbling through (I will supply a repair panel) and the lower front valance, there are few other small areas of rust and a few age related marks here and there, wheels could do with being refurbed but is to be expected given the age and fact it has always been in regular use, tidy interior, just a split on the passenger seat base and some glue stains on the headlining. Very good runner, starts first time, every time with very little choke, overdrive engages as it should,I drove it from London back to Blackburn without any issues, cruises on the motorway no problem. Will come with a few spares including a spare electronic ignition module and rotor arm, Bosch ignition coil, cylinder head and inlet manifold. M.O.T. expires on 20th October 2020 but it should pass its next test without any major issues, car is obviously M.O.T. and tax exempt anyway but I M.O.T. it anyway. Remember the car is 48 years old and is far from perfect and will need a bit of TLC, I've described it as best I can. No time wasters please. Open to reasonable offers.
