1990 Honda Prelude 3rd Gen 2.0i 4WS Manual For Sale
For sale is my 1990 Honda Prelude 2.0i 4WS Manual, a UK car first registered in November 1990
I have owned my Prelude since January 2007, when I bought her with 70,000 on the clock, to replace an earlier model. She has had 3 previous registered keepers, the first being the Honda Dealer who registered her as new, and the last being the dealer I bought it from.
She's now covered 104,600 miles [verified by MOT certificates and service receipts - all from RA Engineering in Reading]. This will go up slightly as I take the car out to give it a run every week.
She is MOT’d until March 2021. I have the original service book which covers history before I bought it.
She has been lovingly & professionally maintained regardless of cost.
All bodywork repairs, maintenance and refurbishment have been carried out by Mark Allen Cars - a professional bodyshop that specialises in restoring classic cars.
Electric windows, sun roof, mirrors and aerial plus pop-up headlights - all working.
Face-off JVC stereo.
Interior very good- no rips or tears apart from one small mark in driver's seat [see photo]. Driver door card is not original - the trim & colour is the same but speaker grille doesn't quite match.
The engine is bog standard - an "honest engine" with no mods. Cambelt done at 82,000 and 95,000 miles [receipts available].
The car has always been garaged since the body was professionally restored in 2014.
Recent professionally-installed replacement ABS regulator/pump.
Has nice-looking three-spoke alloys [refurbished with the body, but has picked up a little kerb scuff on one of the front ones], but I also have the original wheels, tyres and trims, which can be included in the sale if you want them.
Continental Premium Contact 2s all round - fitted November 2018 so hardly used as it's only covered about 4000 miles since then.
My Prelude's a real looker and lovely to drive - the four wheel steer makes it stick to the road like glue.
It's hard to let her go, but I'm selling her now because I'm really not using her enough - I have a van, an Audi TT and my other half's car at my disposal.
I would like to see her go to a good home with an enthusiast who will look after her the way I have.
A much more comprehensive history, plus photographs and a full VOSA MOT history, is available to serious potential buyers. The MOT history is matched by a comprehensive maintenance and service receipts.
I’m happy to answer any questions.
I’m in no hurry to sell, so please don’t waste your, or my, time with silly speculative offers.
UPDATE JULY 2020
I have just had notification from Aviva Insurance Claims department, acknowledging that the CAT D from 2007 was their error, and informing me that it is in the process of being removed. The car will now have the clear history it should have.
