The Lamborghinetta (Small Lamborghini) was the companies first tractor with the air cooled direct injection diesel engine.
It is twin cylinder 1400cc with 22bhp, taking drive through a 6 speed gearbox to the rear wheels.
It was produced from 1957 to 1960. A total of 823 Lamborghinettas were made.
The early models were in a red over grey colour scheme in 1959 this changed to the iconic orange over light blue colours, which would be used up until 1968.
The Lamborghinetta is one of the most desirable models, consistently achieving better results at auction than either the 2241 R, 1R or larger 2R models. The most recent auction prices for Lamborghinettas have been £16,200, £23,000 and £28,500.
The tractor we have on offer is a 1959 model in the orange over light blue colour scheme. It has the correct DL20 matching chassis, engine and gearbox numbers and comes with its original red covered Italian registration document with details of all its previous owners and Bologna registration number. It has been NOVA declared in the U.K.
This particular tractor is very original, retaining all the correct (and hard to find) badges, lights, toolbox and fishtail exhaust.
It has recently been rewired, has new fuel lines, new tyres front and rear and has had all the fluids changed.
It also has a useful rear drawbar, PTO and very rare pulley wheel drive.
Whilst it has recently been resprayed in Italy, it has been done sympathetically, so that it still shows some of the dents in the bodywork associated from its working life in the fields of the Emilia Romagna region.
