I'm reluctantly reducing my modest collection and my 1958 M18. This lovely 62 year old AJS shows its age proudly, I don't believe it’s been restored just cared for realistically and for an original bike it’s in really nice condition for the year. It’s an easy starter, usually first kick then soon settling down to an even tick over just waiting to be ridden. The chrome shows its age but is still acceptable, the tin ware, tyres & brakes are good and with the bike presenting itself with an honest unmolested charm, in my opinion, it would be a shame to cosmetically restore the bike and loose its visual appeal. Obviously without documented history I'm not able to confirm the mileage. It’s a really nice bike to ride. Can be delivered by bike courier almost anywhere in the UK for approximately £100 I can pass over the courier’s number if needed.
First registered on the 1st of July 1937 in London & still retaining it's original transferable registration number. The last owner had this machine from 1997, only parting with it due to ill health......
This is a Banbury eligible v Twin motorcycle, restoration completed 2 years ago, it has since covered 680 miles and is now nicely run in,it had new pistons and oil pump in the engine rebuild and all.....
