This stunning, superbly restored MGB Roadster was built on the 11th-14th February 1966 and built for the RHD Home Market, leaving the factory in Mineral Blue with Black trim, Wire Wheels, Heater, Blue Packaway Hood and Anti-Roll bar. The car was supplied new by T Shipside Limited, Nottingham and registered GNN 710D. In 2015 the car MG was completely rebuilt from the ground up by a Midlands based Restoration Company and little over 1500 faultless miles have been covered since.
GNN 710D was subject of a superb body restoration and excellent re-paint, the chrome work was either renewed or replaced and original Dunlop painted wire wheels re-furbished. The interior was re-trimmed, new weather equipment supplied and the car mechanically rebuilt to an exceptional standard. The MG was treated to various upgrades to include a rebuilt unleaded cylinder head, brake servo, electronic ignition, heated seats, power sockets, Waterless Evans coolant, Folding hood rather than Packaway, improved seats with headrests and in 2018 the MG was treated to adjustable power steering. The car also boasts some lovely original features to include its restored Black Crackle finish dashboard, original steering wheel and gearshift knob.
Our MGB Roadster presents beautifully with a fabulous rebuilt bodyshell demonstrating excellent gaps and a gleaming paint finish. The interior has been beautifully finished, and the boot area carpeted and a brand new mohair hood has been fitted. The engine bay is of show quality, a photo record of some of the work shows the engine being superbly detailed and re-fitted to a pristine engine compartment. The underside presents superbly with stunning clean floors and on the road GNN 710D does not disappoint. The car handles perfectly, holds the road beautifully and the rebuilt engine performs perfectly with correct oil pressure. Gear changes are lovely and smooth, the brakes and steering are more advanced than a standard MGB ensuring this car is truly exceptional in every respect.
