1972 Outstanding and fully sorted Norton Commando 750 For Sale
This is an outstanding example of Norton's brilliant Commando which retains its matching frame, engine and gearbox numbers. Pictured in its current Roadster trim the bike left the factory as an Interstate model and was originally sold into the United States market, returning to England in May 1996. One of the photos shows it in Interstate trim and the choice is entirely yours as both sets of metal fuel tanks, side panels, seats and grab rails come with the bike. Whichever trim it's dressed in this is a lovely bike. Cosmetically excellent, it starts, rides, handles and stops brilliantly. It's been very well sorted and maintained, some of the improvements being Boyer ignition, Lansdowne double damped fork internals, steering damper, belt primary drive and uprated front brake. The bike is ready to ride and enjoy with pride straight away, so whoever buys it can make the most of the remainder of this year's riding season. Rather regretfully, I'm offering the bike for sale due to changing circumstances which mean that I need to reduce my small "collection" of classic cars and bikes. I understand that due to the current national situation things are less straightforward than usual, but if you are seriously interested then unhurried viewings are possible within social distancing guidelines. I'm as keen as I'm sure you are to ensure that we all stay healthy! I'm very happy to have a detailed and honest 'phone discussion with anyone who is seriously interested, and would much prefer this to extensive text or email exchanges. Please feel free to call me. Thank you.
