First production year for the 1100 endurance racing champion. Denoted King of the superbikes in Suzuki advertising and voted Bike of the year 1986. Trevor nation won the Isle of man Production TT on this model in its first year.
This bike was imported to the UK from Eastern US in 1989 and with original owner till I purchased in 2012. In my tenure the bike was fully recommissioned and has been used sparingly since. Work included, Rebuilt Forks with progressive springs,New OEM Seals, Steering head bearings cleaned, greased and preload properly set up. Rebuilt clutch, front and rear brake master cylinders. Rebuilt Front and rear Brake calipers, new front and rear brake discs along with Kevlar brake and clutch lines for a modern feel. Carburetors sonically cleaned and rebuilt. Rear suspension fully rebuilt with fresh seal and bushings where necessary. Nitron remote reservoir rear shock gives stock appearance but modern ride characteristics. Full service and tune including carb balance and valve clearances. Fresh Full Yoshimura stainless exhaust and K&N filters completes the package. Bike wears a older Dream Machine paint job in its original Suzuki White and Blue colours.
While detailed during recommissioning this bike is not restored and wears its age patina on the chassis very well.
Original, Exhaust, Airbox, rear shock, Brake discs and Brake/clutch lines available under separate negotiation to maintain its heritage.
This bike comes with a current MOT valid till May 2021. As you would expect this bike rides as new and is as thrilling today on the road as most modern machines despite its 34 years of age.
