1964 SUNBEAM RAPIER SERIES IV. PILLARLESS COUPE. 1600cc. MANUAL GEARBOX. LOW MILEAGE. FANTASTIC CAR.

This fantastic Sunbeam Rapier is the series IV model with a 1592cc engine and a 4 speed manual gearbox. Finished in its original 2 tone colour scheme of Metallic Light Green with an Embassy Black roof. It was first registered 20 October 1964 and it is now 56 years old which makes it road tax and MOT exempt. Although it does not require an MOT it has one with no advisories till February 2021. The mileage is very low at only 84,000 (1500 per year) and the car has only covered 10,000 miles in the last 18 years. The car has a nice history filke containing old invoices, MOT's etc. and letters from previous owners confirming the history. In the last 2 years it has had a lot spent on rebuilding the suspension and brakes with new springs, adjustable shock absorbers and new pads, new tachometer, new radio, new seat belts, 5 x new 155/80/13 matching Firestyone tyres, new exhaust and an engine service. It has also received a new dynamo, re-chromed bumpers, a new grille and a repaint in recent years and also had an engine rebuild. The interior is immaculate. The black seats have green piping to match the exterior colour of the car and the black carpets are in good order. The classic wooden dash hold the array of 6 dials, a period radio, lovely clock and there is a map reading light on the passenger door. The engine bay is super clean as can be seen in the picture. This car drives really well and has a good turn of speed.
