|I bought this Triumph Mayflower as a barn find in 1993, and spent 3 months stripping it, shot blasting and priming the body, and having the engine rebuilt by Fleet Engineering. |
I work in humanitarian aid and was called away to serve in the Rwandan genocide with Oxfam. Since then I moved to France for 16 years and recently returned. The Triumph was evicted from the family barn whilst I was away and has rusted outside for the last few years. Still completely solid and with all its panels.
The rebuilt engine and gearbox are in great condition, and have remained stored in the barn. Also the the glass work, and interior seating and panels and bumpers are all barn stored so in good basic condition.
I only have a photo of the rolling body, so please do not be put off by the rust coloured finish, the car is still extremely solid and restorable is blasted again. The running gear is all good and was restored 20 years ago before being left outside, so again, in reasonable condition.
