1921 Humphrey and Dawes OK 293cc REDUCED For Sale

Popular flat tank bike in very original and usable condition with original OK Precision 293cc engine. Reputably it was found in a garage near Liverpool in the mid 1990’s where it had been stored since the War. It was used for a little before being stored again and then purchased by the last owner for it’s registration number. It now has the current plate of BF 8600 and an MoT until last August.
OK motorcycles were made by Humphrey & Dawes of Birmingham from 1899 until 1939. Their standard engine of the 1920’s was their own 293cc 2-stroke and it became very popular as a robust and reliable unit. They are now rare and this bike in totally original condition represents an important piece of British motorcycling history. It comes with Handbook printout etc and V5.
It last ran in 2017 and has good compression and easy gear selection. We are not antique motorcycle specialists and have not attempted to start it, indeed as the photos indicate it is an exhibit in our office at A1 Classic Cars. It should really go to someone who would cherish it and hopefully use it for its 100 year anniversary next year.
