The designer and electoral Albrecht Graf von Goertz had already drawn with the Lucky Strike pack and the Coke bottle to unexpected heights. But something was nagging at Goertz. Maybe wanderlust, maybe the need to step out of the shadow of his teacher. Anyway, Goertz threw on New Year's Eve celebration in New York in 1962 begging and said goodbye to Japan. However, only to find that neither his name nor his title had any value there. At least nobody wanted to hire him. Only Nissan, the last on his list, took pity on the motivated designer. The story started to pick up speed. In 1969, Nissan presented the Datsun 240 Z, a two-seat combo coupe, one of the most successful vehicles of its time. The extremely robust straight-six enjoyed great popularity. The wheels were all hung individually. This 240 Z was delivered to the United States by Michael Reed of Mercer Island and remained in its first hand until its sale through a dealer to its current owner. He is very original. Many bills occupy the 86,870 mls mileage. Once repainted, it presents itself today in a very nice condition.
