SInce I bought the car last year I have taken it to Krown Rustproofing as I intended to drive the it through the winter. However, I decided to keep it in the garage and drive my 130i instead.
I have also replaced the rear droplinks (Lemforder), changed the oil and filter and an ABS sensor.
I have just purchased a new steering send and return hose (the latter is the long, coiled one that bolts to the rack (£122). I will try and get these fitted before sale.
This car was the purchased as a company car by Nicky Oppenheimer.
In the car's recent history, prior to my ownership, the following has been carried out:
All four wheels stripped and powder coated, centre caps painted, locks overhauled and rubber seals replaced, new centre decals.
4 Michelin Pilot sport tyres fitted with lots of life left in them.
Gearbox fluid and filter change.
Differential fluid changed
New BMW foam cushion and repair to drivers seat.
New water pump, thermostat, drive belts, viscous coupling, all preventative maintenance.
New aircon pipe and aircon regassed, all working as it should.
Fuel filter, air filter, cabin filter.
Brake fluid changed.
Steering fluid changed.
Discs and pads all round (changed by previous owner)
Cam and knock sensors replaced at 91010 miles by previous owner.
New cam cover gasket and cover stripped and painted.
Cobra Cat 1 alrm and imobiliser fitted. The original factory unit stopped working.
Genuine BMW reversing sensors kit fitted. All as factory.
Various trim items replaced.
There is some slight bubbling to one rear arch and some very minor bubbles on the skirts but you have to look very closely.
The car is very solid, hence the reason I took it to Krown. The interior is in very good condition, the only things that don't function correctly are the outside temperature sensor (new BMW one included but not fitted) and the drivers seat recline motor turns but the seat back is not adjusting. It's in a sensible position but will need looking at.
I have a great deal of history with the car, including letters between previous owners and original bill of sale etc.
